Canaveral National Seashore

This national park located on Florida’s Atlantic coast boasts miles of pristine, undeveloped shoreline and scenic hiking trails.

Canaveral National Seashore is a great place to visit next time you are planning a beach day. The park’s most popular activities are swimming, fishing, and simply relaxing with toes in the sand. In addition to the picturesque beach Canaveral National Seashore also has multiple hiking trails to explore. The popular Turtle Mound Trail traverses an archaeological site – a shell midden left by the Timucua indians dating back to 800AD. The trail climbs the shell midden, rising high above the surrounding wilderness and providing outstanding views of the lagoon and ocean below.

Canaveral National Seashore is located on the Atlantic ocean just south of New Smyrna Beach and north-east of Titusville, Florida; approximately one hour drive from Orlando. Admission to the park is $10 per vehicle and $1 for pedestrians and bicyclists. The park is open every day of the year from 6AM until 6PM in the winter and 8PM in the summer.  Visit the offical web-site for more information.
