Colby-Alderman Park

Explore beautiful natural scenery and learn the fascinating history of Cassadaga, Florida’s founding at this park.

Colby-Alderman Park is a 124 acre park that allows visitors to explore beautiful walking paths through forests and enjoy scenic lakeside views from a boardwalk. Along with the beautiful natural setting, Colby-Alderman Park also depicts the settlement and early history of the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp.

The community was established by George P. Colby; Colby indicated he was directed to Florida and this specific area by a Native American spirit guide named Seneca. in 1894 a charter was granted to form The Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association. For more than a century this community has drawn believers of Spiritualism, and today Cassadaga is known as the “Psychic Capital of the World”.

Colby-Alderman Park is free to visit and open daily from sunrise until sunset. The park is located in Cassadaga, Florida; approximately forty-five minutes north of Downtown Orlando. You can use our Interactive Map to find more fascinating sites to visit and explore around Central Florida.
