Florida Citrus Tower

This historic 226 foot observation tower is one of the original Orlando area tourist attractions.

The Florida Citrus Tower was once one of the most famous landmarks of the Orlando area and a popular roadside attraction.  The tower was built in 1956 to showcase the booming citrus industry of the region.  Today most of the orange groves are gone, but the view is still exceptional.  After a quick elevator ride to the observation deck, lakes and rolling hills can be seen near the tower along with the city of Clermont.  Further off in the distance you can see the Downtown Orlando skyline and some of the hotels and attractions near International Drive and Walt Disney World.

The Florida Citrus Tower is open to the public from 9AM to 5PM Monday through Saturday. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children and can be purchased in the gift shop at the tower’s base.  Check out more historic sights near Orlando here.
