Kissimmee Lakefront Park

This large, scenic park is located in downtown Kissimmee, right on the shores of Lake Tohopekaliga.

Kissimmee Lakefront Park celebrated its grand-opening in 2015. The primary draw of the park is great views of the lake from its walking paths and piers. It is very common to spot alligators swimming nearby or even basking on the lake shore. Visitors can also fish and utilize the marina for boating. Additional amenities include a lighthouse, two playgrounds and a splash park for children, picnic facilities, and boardwalks through “rain gardens” that are designed as a beautiful and environmentally friendly storm-water system. If you look closely you may also find a marker for a time-capsule which was placed in the ground in March 24, 1983 to celebrate the city’s centennial and won’t be opened until March 24, 2083.

Kissimmee Lakefront Park is free to visit and open daily from 7AM until 10PM. Lakefront Park is located approximately one hour south of downtown Orlando. Or if you would prefer to take a train, it is a very short walk from the Kissimmee SunRail train station to the park. Nearby you can find the fascinating Monument of States.
