Savage Christmas Creek Preserve

Savage Christmas Creek Preserve features 1,126 acres of wilderness to explore.

Savage Christmas Creek Preserve includes approximately three miles of trails designed for hiking and equestrian use. Savage Christmas Creek Preserve includes forests of tall pine and cypress trees, beautiful wildflowers during the spring and summer, and bountiful wildlife including gopher tortoises and bald eagles.

Savage Christmas Creek Preserve is open every day of the week from sunrise until sunset. There is no fee to visit. Be sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat as many of the ecosystems in the preserve have limited shade. Some trails may be flooded seasonally depending on recent rain levels, so be sure to bring sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Also note that dogs and bikes are not permitted at Savage Christmas Creek Preserve.

The preserve is located approximately forty minutes east of downtown Orlando in Christmas, Florida. Nearby you can also find Fort Christmas Historical Park and Orlando Wetlands Park. You can find more places to see the great outdoors here.
